Description
While on a Canauxrama canal cruise that started at Port de l'Arsenal, near the Place de la Bastille in Paris, we went through an approximately 1.25 mile tunnel that went beneath the Bastille. A section above us in this tunnel was the Bastille's vault which was the final resting place for 504 people who died during the July Revolution of 1830. The image above shows our boat coming out of the darkness of the tunnel and back into the light. Ahead of our boat was the first of many locks that we would go through on our 2 1/2 hour canal cruise journey.

Dear Richard, You sure get around. I have traveled to some of the same spots. It's inspiring the way you compose and use your light to tell each unique story. You have a good eye.
