While assisting at the Polar Plunge 2015 event held at Virginia Beach I had the opportunity to capture some of the sights and scenes of the Virginia Beach oceanfront area. I decided to feed the birds from our 9th floor hotel balcony. The birds seemed to prefer chocolate chip cookies over Nacho chips...go figure. With my feeding arm extended out and my right hand holding my camera back as far as I could get I created a really cool photo opportunity. If I held a portion of the cookie real tightly in my hand the birds would sit on my hand and try to get the cookie piece loose all while flapping their wings.I used the following settings on my Sony RX10 on 02/07/2015:
Focal Length 8.8 mm
Exposure time .0005s 1/2000s
f/ 4.5
ISO 125
White Balance on Auto
Camera set on Action Mode
Brightness 10.9
Exposure Mode Auto
Saturation, Contrast and Sharpness set at Normal
