Description
Here is an image of open shutter doors leading out to a balcony of the Geremia Palace in Split, Croatia. If you look closely to the left open shuttered door you can see a pigeon in flight, as if it is going to fly into this home.
The Palaća Dragiić (de Caris) was a mansion for Juraj Dragiić in the middle of the 17th century. This writer who was also known as George de Caris died in 1658. The buildings courtyard contains some of his collection of ancient monuments. A century later it became the home of the Geremia family. This Baroque building was extensively renovated during the 19th century. It now appears to be filled with seasonal rental apartments.
